Hi, I’m Laura

Thank you for being here!

I am the co-founder and COO of Ecologicca, and the founder of What in the Tech. My background in operational management, strategy, and digital transformation has led me on a journey through many industries.

I am passionate about community building and philanthropy, have been an active mentor in a number of Women-focused organizations, and am currently a member of the Tech+Biz4SickKids Council.

An angel investor in 4 women-founded companies, named one of The Peak's Emerging Leaders in 2024 for tech and one of Canada's Top Operators by TechTO, I am committed to helping build a more equitable tech landscape.

Why

What in the tech?

Those of us already in the industry take for granted all of the institutional knowledge we possess.

Nothing reminds you of that more clearly than meeting a new founder from a different industry or you, yourself, walking into a space where you don’t know anything, or anybody. I’ve had both experiences recently and it strongly reinforced my motivation to launch this resource.

As a founder, your time is incredibly valuable so whether you’re new to tech or just want to have a hub for information, my hope is that What in the Tech will be a one-stop-shop to help you learn, save time, and have a community to collaborate (and commiserate) with when you need it.
